Alfred Grinding Room

The Grinding Room is the raw materials research hub for the Division of Ceramic Art at Alfred University. Our mission is to support the ceramic research community of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.

Through July 21st, 2023, the Grinding Room hours are Monday - Friday, 9am-12pm + 1pm-4pm . No materials will be weighed after 3:30pm.

During Summer Ceramics Workshops the Grinding Room will be open to purchase tools and supplies. Mixing facilities are closed for Workshop participants.
